Procedures

Forgot Badge

If you forgot your badge, such as leaving it at home, then IT will do the following:

  1. Connect to your computer remotely to provide one-time access as described above.
  2. Come to your room and issue you a temporary badge, without deactivating your original badge.
  3. Talk with you to determine a time to return the temporary badge.
  4. When the badge is returned, IT will remove the temporary badge from your account, and verify you have your personal badge.
    1. Verifying you have your original badge is important. Misplacing the badge for extended periods without deactivating it is a security risk.

Lost Badge

If you have lost your badge, then IT will do the following:

  1. Contact the Security Booth to deactivate the lost badge, and start the replacement process.
    1. This step should already be taken by the employee, but will also be done by IT to ensure it is reported.
  2. Connect to your computer remotely to provide one-time access as described above.
  3. Come to your room and issue you a temporary badge.
  4. When your new badge is ready, IT will deliver the new badge, enroll it, and take the temporary badge.

If you have lost your FIDO key, lost your cell phone containing your authenticator app, or you suspect your account has been breached, please contact IT immediately. IT will do the following:

  1. Deactivate all MFA factors from your account, and review your account for suspicious activity.
  2. Connect to your computer and provide one-time access as described above.
  3. Work with you to restore normal access to your account, and ensure any compromised factor is corrected.   \
